Palin attacks Rahm Emanuel for using the word 'retarded'
Sarah Palin took out after White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel today for referring to a group of liberal activists as "retarded."
"Just as we'd be appalled if any public figure of Rahm's stature ever used the 'N-word' or other such inappropriate language, Rahm's slur on all God's children with cognitive and developmental disabilities -- and the people who love them -- is unacceptable, and it's heartbreaking," Palin wrote on her Facebook page. Palin's son has Down's Syndrome.
Emanuel has apologized to Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver for using the word "retarded," as reported here in The Wall Street Journal. (Emanuel modified the term with a trademark f-word).
It's the second time a high-ranking White House official has apologized to Shriver; President Obama himself did so after making a Special Olympics crack on The Tonight Show back in March.
Chris Matthews on ObamaState of the Union address: 'I forgot he was black'
Loose-lipped MSNBC talking head Chris Matthews has unleashed a flood of Internet chatter with the odd remark he "forgot he [Obama] was black."
Analyzing Obama's State of the Union address, he called the President "post-racial" before saying, "I forgot he was black tonight for an hour. He’s gone a long way to become a leader of this country and past so much history in just a year or two. I mean it’s something we don’t even think about.
"I was watching and I said, wait a minute, he’s an African-American guy in front of a bunch of other white people and there he is, President of the United States, and we’ve completely forgotten that tonight — completely forgotten it."
Where is the left outrage of the “N” Word, wait there isn’t any since one of the squawkers from the left said it about Obama none the less.
GOP Calls For Harry Reid to Resign Over ´Negro´ Comment
Sen. Harry Reid, D.-Nevada, should resign as Senate Majority Leader over comments he made last year about President Obama's skin tone and lack of any "Negro dialect," say Republicans, who suggest any member of their party would be treated the same.
They point to Trent Lott, who stepped down as majority leader in 2002 after suggesting that the U.S. might have been better off had segregationist Strom Thurmond won the 1948 presidential election. Reid's comment wasn't a call for race-based policy.
Instead, Reid was characterizing racial attitudes among voters today, saying in 2008 that Obama's lighter skin tone and "no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one" would make him more electable. Reid has apologized, and Obama has accepted.
For the longest time you could go to any left blog and see the CBO quoted with facts and figures……….When it was talking about the Iraq war.
Now that it has released info on the health care bill on how people will lose their private employer based insurance, you cannot find it on the blogs.
Well here is the info:
10 Million Could Lose Employer Coverage Under Senate Health Bill, CBO Says
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that up to 10 million people could lose their employer-based insurance coverage under the Senate's health care reform bill.
In new figures out Monday, the nonpartisan office said the net loss would add up to about 5 million -- the anticipated loss of employer coverage on one end would be offset in part by the expectation that a new mandate would drive other employers to cover millions more workers who are not currently covered.
But the estimate assumes many employers, particularly small businesses with low-wage workers, would opt to pay the fine and drop their insurance plans. The CBO estimated this would affect between 9 million and 10 million workers.
The estimate was provided after Republicans pressed the CBO for details on employer coverage, and it added fuel to the GOP argument that President Obama's claim that nobody will be forced to give up their private coverage is bunk. It comes in the middle of a heated debate in the Senate over whether and how the government should enter the market with its own insurance plan.
"If you like what you have you can't keep it," the Senate Republican office said in an e-mail highlighting the CBO report and keying off the president's refrain.
Though some of those who lose their coverage would be eligible for government subsidies to buy insurance, some would not, according to the CBO.
For instance, a family of four making more than $88,000 would not qualify for subsidies and could face even higher premiums in the private market.
Is the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel misquoting or just being very liberal with intent or do the others have it wrong? Is it taken out of context or missing some of it?
Walker reacted to the news of Barrett's candidacy on Saturday by saying:
"Tom Barrett is a nice guy, but in the end he's spent his entire career in the Legislature, in the Congress and now as mayor raising taxes."
On Saturday, Walker was already setting the state for a potential campaign issue between the two. "Tom Barrett has spent his entire career, whether it was in the state legislature, whether it was in the Congress, or now as the mayor of Milwaukee, his entire career has been built on raising taxes," said Walker. "My entire career has been built on fighting taxes."
I hijacked this from Scottforgov.com.Just playing by the left’s rules!
Next time you hear MilwaukeeCounty union employees complain about wage cuts and contributions to their benefits, direct them to this post over at Badger Blogger.
According to the county’s website, the 2008 benefits cost for MilwaukeeCounty employees was 74.35% of salary. And while county employees are decrying proposed wages cuts and cuts to services (and are willing to show up at taxpayer rallies in an attempt to make their “plight” known) the cost of their benefits is projected to have increased another 8-10% in 2009, according to budget analysts.
In real dollars, this means that a typical county employee – say, for example, county social worker, union organizer, prolific semi-professional blogger, and Chairman of the recently-formed “non-partisan social welfare organization” Milwaukee County First, Chris Liebenthal – making $48,816.00 annually, according to a publicly accessible online database, courtesy of the Journal/Sentinel – actually cost county taxpayers an additional $36,295 in 2008 non-salary compensation. If 2009 projections are accurate, this cost becomes in excess of $40,000.00.
74.35% of their salary!!!Let that sink in.It is time that the government unions salary and benefits are more in line with that of the people that actually pay their salaries.(BTW...that person referenced above is also known as Capper on his many blogs)
Unions Must Stop Supporting Legislation That Kills Jobs
Employers cut 216,000 jobs in August. The Employee Free Choice Act will cause another 600,000 jobs to be lost in the first year of passage, which will drive unemployment numbers even higher-- In this economy, we need more job opportunities, not fewer.
As Labor Day approaches, union bosses must put workers first by giving up their quest to pass the job-killing Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), since there is nothing "free" about it for workers or businesses.
Unemployment has risen to 9.7%, according to new numbers released on Friday, bringing it to the highest level in 26 years. In August alone, employers cut 216,000 jobs. EFCA will cause another 600,000 jobs to be lost in the first year of passage, which will continue to drive up unemployment numbers. In this economy, we need more job opportunities, not fewer.
Despite reports that the Employee "forced" Choice Act (EFCA) is off the table, Congress is still considering this dangerous legislation. And the "compromises" under consideration would "compromise" workers' rights and an employer's ability to grow his or her business.
"Card check" is the provision in this bill that would strip workers of the right to vote using a secret ballot during a union election. Instead, a union "election" would be held with just half of the workers publicly signing their name to a card. It would be immensely difficult to refuse to sign the card if a union boss followed you home.
Zach over at Blogging Blue has a post of a quote from John Adams that I personally am sick of the left using!Especially since, they are taking it out of context and they haven’t a clue that they do it!But it is making the rounds again!
When the religious right
This would be the best of all possible Worlds, if there were no Religion in it.“
Zach and those on the left educate yourself when you are trying to use something you have no clue to what it is!Zach it makes you look foolish!
Quoting the words of others carries a big responsibility. Misquoting misrepresents the ideas of others.
Here's a classic example of a misquote:
John Adams has often been quoted as having said: "This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it."
John Adams did, in fact, write the above words. But if you see those words in context, the meaning changes entirely. Here's the rest of the quotation:
Twenty times, in the course of my late reading, have I been on the point of breaking out, 'this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it!!!!’But in this exclamation, I should have been as fanatical as Bryant or Cleverly.Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in public company—I mean hell.
As you can see from this example, context matters!
This example is from Paul F. Boller, Jr. and John George, They Never Said It: A Book of Fake Quotes, Misquotes, and Misleading Attributions (Oxford University Press, 1989).
Typically, I would not edit or add to something someone else posted, but I did ask Steve T. if I could add this.
Zach when talking of a man’s personal belief, understand the man, not just display words that he penned in a different time and place. That is called perspective, something you clearly don’t have. Also, please note that words, phrases, and meanings do change and must also be put into perspective and context.Just think of Gay as in happy for an example.
Zack, read up and just keep trying!Keep reaching for the stars and maybe someday you will arrive at been a Conservative.
Jefferson was always reluctant to reveal his religious beliefs to the public, but at times he would speak to and reflect upon the public dimension of religion. He was raised as an Anglican, but was influenced by English deists such as Bolingbroke and Shaftesbury. Thus in the spirit of the Enlightenment, he made the following recommendation to his nephew Peter Carr in 1787: "Question with boldness even the existence of God; because if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear.”
In Query XVII of Notes on the State of Virginia, he clearly outlines the views which led him to play a leading role in the campaign to separate church and state and which culminated in the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom: "The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God.The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god.It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg . . . . Reason and free inquiry are the only effectual agents against error.”Jefferson's religious views became a major public issue during the bitter party conflict between Federalists and Republicans in the late 1790s when Jefferson was often accused of being an atheist.
With the help of Richard Price, a Unitarian minister in London, and Joseph Priestly, an English scientist-clergyman who emigrated to America in 1794, Jefferson eventually arrived at some positive assertions of his private religion. His ideas are nowhere better expressed than in his compilations of extracts from the New Testament "The Philosophy of Jesus" (1804) and "The Life and Morals of Jesus" (1819-20?).The former stems from his concern with the problem of maintaining social harmony in a republican nation. The latter is a multilingual collection of verses that was a product of his private search for religious truth. Jefferson believed in the existence of a Supreme Being who was the creator and sustainer of the universe and the ultimate ground of being, but this was not the triune deity of orthodox Christianity. He also rejected the idea of the divinity of Christ, but as he writes to William Short on October 31, 1819, he was convinced that the fragmentary teachings of Jesus constituted the "outlines of a system of the most sublime morality which has ever fallen from the lips of man.”In correspondence, he sometimes expressed confidence that the whole country would be Unitarian, but he recognized the novelty of his own religious beliefs. On June 25, 1819, he wrote to Ezra Stiles, "I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know."

All the liberal left does is just the opposite of what the right does. They hardly can think for themselves. All someone has to do is look at the left blogs and you will see the same things regurgitated with a hat tip.Almost word for word.
Now look at the right blogs and you will see different topics and originality. All the liberal left can do is pick the opposite side of the right. They are still so obsessed with George W. Bush.
See the liberal hypocrisy exists only because liberal really don’t stand for anything.Nothing! They only take the opposite side of the right.
Look at when Bush wanted control over the Internet, boy was there an uproar from the left. Now Obama wants to do the same exact thing and it is ok.
Bush was ripped for the spending and deficit and now it is ok under Obama.Look at any of the left blogs, are they up in arms about it.NOPE!
Have a woman as vice pres, not if she is a Republican!
Occupying troops on the war on terror. It is ok now.More troops and money for it.Also ok.
Isn’t want the left wants for health care policies much like Walmart dictating pricing?See it ok because it is the good government, the invisible hand that is visible. But with the health care option, no private business nor others to make a similar product. The public option will kill off the private sector insurance and health care.I have no idea why the left cannot see the forest through the trees.
12% of the nation thinks opponents of President Obama’s health care reform plan are racist, while 61% of dems do. This shows the disconnect the liberals dems have. Just keep up the racism cries! Racism here, racism there, racism everywhere. When in doubt, they pull the race card!
Twelve percent (12%) of voters nationwide believe that most opponents of President Obama’s health care reform plan are racist. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 67% of voters disagree, and 21% are not sure.
Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans reject the notion that most of the opponents are racist. So do 78% of voters not affiliated with either major party. However, just 39% of Democrats share that view. Twenty-two percent (22%) of those in the president’s party say that most of the opposition to his plan comes from racists, and another 39% are not sure.
For all you Socialist/Communist/Marxist/Liberal Democrat Elitists
Revenues are generated by the private sector making things and servicing things.
When the private sector in our state makes 10% less, that means there is 10% less for the state to spend when it collects the revenue as taxes. That means the programs in state, county, and city and its paid employees will see less money for giveaways. This is a contraction.
With a 10% loss of revenue for state taxes collected all government workers in state, county and local need to take a 10% pay cut to make up the difference, so we can balance out the money the state will not get.
This needs to happen since this will be a jobless recovery to get out of the great recession. Which means the “money” revenue generated by workers making things, those jobs are not coming back.
This problem is only going to get bigger as the government balloons. Making the problem even worse for now and the future. Smaller government is the only true answer. Less government jobs and less pay for the government workers still with jobs is what must take place NOW and stay that way once we recover from this recession.
So with that in mind the State Fair attendance is down about the same rate of 9-10% which is close to the unemployment rate. Meaning less revenue for the State Fair. They will have to make cuts for next year some where since they cannot just say we will just ask for more money. If they price themselves out of the market, people will not come back and simple do other things.
What happens is a liberal goes out on a biking excursion in the woods and comes along a homeless man in the middle of the woods. The homeless man is cold, so the liberal person starts a fire for the homeless man to keep him warm.
Well pretty soon, the fire gets out of control and starts burning down the woods. (It might be the liberal was not a boy scout as a kid or his program was so watered down and they didn’t learn a thing about fires while using simulated fire with batteries)
So smokes starts to bellow as the woods are burning and the smoke and fire moves towards the town and people are getting sick from the smoke. Some are even dying from smoke inhalation and carbon dioxide/carbon monoxide. So the liberal calls his liberal friends and their answer is to bring in big fans and generators to blow the smoke away from the city. This in their minds solves the problem!
Meanwhile, the smoke and the fire in the woods just keeps getting bigger and bigger as the big fans just keep feeding the fire more and more oxygen. And they have to buy more fans because the smoke keeps coming into the town. And they keep on blowing the air into the fire making it even bigger. More smoke, more smoke! They have no idea how to get to the source of the fire or why their highly educated idea is not working. They are always trying to cut the damages by the fire they started. They just want the smoke to go away so people don’t notice the fire.
Oh, the homeless man, he died in the story because the liberal man told him it was okay to just stay there and everything would be just fine.
NEW YORK – Monotone TV personality Ben Stein has been stripped of his Sunday New York Times business column because of his work as a pitchman for a credit monitoring company.
New York Times spokeswoman Catherine Mathis released a statement Friday that said the newspaper decided it would not be appropriate for Stein to pitch for FreeScore.com while writing his column.
A few weeks ago, Jay Weber had a segment on his show talking about Foreign / Japanese car owners and America car owners. It was a very good segment and I hope Jay visits it again.
The real answer people are driving Foreign / Japanese cars is the fact that it is perceived in the media and everywhere else that the Foreign / Japanese cars are better. That truly isn’t the case! That goes to show you how damaging perceptions can be even when there is no real basis for them.
So people who don’t care about America and only care about themselves are those that drive them, those Foreign / Japanese cars. Typically the liberals! Look around and you will see Coexist stickers (a sign of a true liberal) mostly on Foreign / Japanese cars.
You can always look around at someone driving Foreign / Japanese cars that if your back is against the wall you would not want to rely on upon them. The only care about themselves while claiming to care about others. Part of the blame is that they were indoctrinated to believe that the USA is evil. Backwards thinking, anti-American, anti-workers! The system breeds that.
When AMERICA DOESN’T SUPPORT AMERICA THERE’S A PROBLEM!!!
Wow Jerry K. was right to use the word 'Comrade' to describe the left. Just imagine Socialist America. Oh how the left must be steaming from defending Obama that he is not socialistic and doesn’t want to make America socialistic or Marxist!
Chavez Jokes He Is More Right-Wing Than 'Comrade' Obama
President Hugo Chavez claimed this week that he and his Cuban ally Fidel Castro are more conservative than left-wing U.S. President Barack Obama, referring to the American government bailout and takeover of General Motors, Reuters reported.
The Venezuelan leader was giving a speech on the "curse" of capitalism on Tuesday as GM was filing for bankruptcy and preparing for Washington to take control of 60 percent of the 100-year-old symbol of American capitalism.
"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Reuters quotes Chavez joking on a national TV broadcast.
I'm all for being bi-partisan, but the dems in D.C. have shown no wish and have no need to get the GOP on their side. They have the majority and can/will dictate whatever policies they wish. So why are they so hell bent on trying to get the support of the Republicans? Because the left knows it will fail and they don’t want all the blame.
Obama talks a good game (which is why he got elected), but he has shown nothing thus far to turning things around in this country. He still has a long leash on him, but there is only so much time that a politician can continue to say, "These problems aren't going to go away overnight". Eventually the accountability will shift to THIS administration and the U.S. will do what it always does, search for a new candidate to solve their problems.
This recession was coming no matter which party was in charge. The housing crisis started with Clinton and Carter. He pushed for easier mortgage loans to those who could not reasonably afford them. Bush turned a blind eye for the first 5-6 years but then tried to pass legislation when it started to become a political issue but the Democratic Congress wouldn't pass it, again for political reasons (you can find all this out through research).
Both parties are at fault. Each trying to top the other for political gain and power while the American people sit idly by getting screwed over at every turn in the name of their favorite party...Democrats & Republicans.
Housing, Industry, Banking....it was a house of cards built up over the last 20-30 years by every Presidency, and it was coming down no matter who was in charge. The bigger question is...Who can rebuild it, who can do it the quickest, who can do it with the best foundation? Is it Obama, is it a Democrat, is it a Republican, or is it someone we do not yet know of?
The far right is what is wrong with America. Only Obama and the Dems can fix this! I hear that kind of BS all the time from libs. Libs think all conservatives whether independent are all a bunch of gun toting bible hugging people like Obama hinted to in his no infamous gaffe with the mic during the campaign trail.
He's turned in a black Bush some on the left are saying. Pro war, pro big business, anti-openness, anti-civil and criminal rights, anti-Muslim, anti-Constitution, etc. Once again, America fell for talk over substance. How long before we realized Nader was right, there are two wings of the corporate party, and the election only determines which corporations control the government?
I didn't vote for him because I don’t share his views on social policies, gitmo, the war on terror, and his income redistribution. Because Obama is a liberal and I am a conservative.
Besides those differences, I back my president and my country until such time as they show me a reason why not.
So far I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised (minus that when he opens his mouth the market dips), which I can read has really been chapping the hides of his lib supporters.
-His stance on Iraq was different then his campaign
-his stance on prosecuting Bush era for things is encouraging
-his stance on gitmo tribunals
-his stance with the car company bailouts
-his stance on gay marriage
-his stance on credit card companies and their practices
The gitmo stance of will he close it or not is so much like will Brett Favre retire or play. I am so sick of it!
The democrats and Nancy Pelosi ushered the new age of ethics....pause....sorry I was laughing my arse
Just wait....Obama hasn't dug deep in our pockets enough yet. The only people that are going to profit from Omama's green vision is Al Gore and Jeffery Imlet.
Gore already made $100 million
The rest of us will have $2000/month utility bills...
Wake up people....it's not economical now
It wasn’t economical at $150 oil.....
Solar panels and windmills don’t work in tornadoes, hurricanes, snow storms etc etc
I guarantee your electricity is going up in price
It takes $.50/kwh to make windmills and solar panel viable.
You better sell you 3000 square ft house now. We are all going back to 1000 sq ft...maybe even caves if the wind does not blow and we don’t build some nuclear plants.
Learn that this congress and this president are not helping our economy. Government has and will never be good a running a business and, no matter how great the intentions, will they be successful. An economy based on government controlled spending only benefits one group of people: The politicians whose elections are based on how much they bring back to there home state/district.
According to Marx/Engels, Dialectic Materialism leads humans through the following stages of economic evolution:
Tribalism, Feudalism, Capitalism, Socialism, and finally, Communism.
The human race must evolve from each stage. If Marx/Engels are correct, then the United States has just begun the throes of revolution that will lead us to the next ideal on this hemisphere's rosy path to communism.
I wish it wasn't so.
Are we now in the Obama depression? Even as we are now spending our grandchildren’s money to enact a socialist agenda, our economy continues to get worse by the day.
The D.C. Republicans may have sworn off calling it socialism, but this is a grassroots level and I call a spade a spade!
Happiness Is ... Being Old, Male and Republican Monday, May 18, 2009 By Robert Roy Britt
Scientists say they have found the secret to happiness and it's as simple as 1, 2, 3 — and the GOP?
Americans grow happier as they age, surveys find. And a new Pew Research Center survey shows the tendency is holding up as the economy tanks.
Happiness is a complex thing. Past studies have found that happiness is partly inherited, that Republicans are happier than Democrats and that old men tend to be happier than old women.
And even before the economy got nasty, seniors were found to be generally happier than Baby Boomers. Some of that owes to the American Dream being lived by past generations, while Boomers work two jobs and watch the dream wither.
If you're thinking that Republicans are happy just because they perhaps make more money, that does not seem to be the case. The study that found Republicans to be happier than Democrats also showed that it held true even after adjusting for income.
It's those age 50-64 who've "seen their nest eggs shrink the most and their anxieties about retirement swell the most," the Pew survey found.
It also finds that younger adults (ages 18-49) "have taken the worst lumps in the job market but remain relatively upbeat about their financial future."
All of you libs out there, there is hope. Some day you will see how far Obama has screwed up America in such a short time! But in the meantime you can do this: Experts say playtime can relieve stress
Scott Walker is going to force my coworkers and I to take a furlough of five hours a week. He says it's because there is a deficit, meaning that the county is spending more money that it is taking in.
But, the county gets reimbursed for the work I do, at about four times the rate that they pay me. The case management I provide to my clients is billed to Medicare, so the County gains it's money from both the state and the federal governments. If Walker intends to do this furlough for the rest of the year, the county will lose over $9,000 that I could've brought in by myself. Now multiply that by all the social workers. http://cognidissidence.blogspot.com/2009/05/doing-math.html
Did I miss the math? Capper, can you show us the math? Without showing the math, how can anyone believe it is true? I am sure the accountant has done the real math. Capper just how do you come to those numbers?
I just wanted to let people know, I did want to title the post “Obama and the Truth For Dummies”, but thought the Liberals would not know I was talking about them!
For everyone who thinks that Bush did this to the economy with a Democrat congress, you have no idea how gov't works. You know not the truth. When will the dems stop talking about Bush? He isn't the president anymore if you haven't noticed.
The first six years of Bush's economy was very strong, the decline is directly associated with the coming of Pelosi and Reid. Truth is truth. You can deny and fool yourselves all you want.
Congress is the only part of government that spends money.
The congress has been controlled by democrats since 2006. President Bush being a lame duck since 2004 did not do a good job on holding congress accountable for their spending since the congress could override any veto president Bush might impose. Even your own party the Democrats said that when President Bush took office there was a surplus of 1 trillion dollars a gift by the Clinton administration thanks to a republican controlled congress.
When President Bush left office, your party the Democrats said President Bush debt was 1.9 trillion dollars. Of that 1.9 trillion 700 billion was passed by a Democratic controlled congress to bail out the banks plus the 400 billion dollar budget that your president Obama signed was credited to the Bush administration.
By the way no Republicans voted for that 400 billion dollar budget because of the earmarks and double dipping the Democrats did between the 400 billion dollar budget and your president Obama's stimulus package of 785 billion by the way only 3 Republican (RINO’s) senators voted for the stimulus package and 1 of the 3 senators change himself into a Democrat. The first conversion by your Messiah president Barack Hussin Obama.
Actually, the legislature has been dominated by the Dems for much of the 20th century except for the periods of growth when the legislature was led by the Reps. In over 60 years of Democratic Party control, we have seen a vast expansion of social programs, welfare, both individual and corporate and massive spending increases. Under Reagan, the cutting of tax rates spurred economic growth and tax revenue generation however the democratic controlled legislature, rather than pay down the debt, ramped up spending.
The CRA was created back in 1977 under Jimmy Carter's watch. It was geared toward eliminating redlining of certain housing areas that did not permit people in these areas from getting financing.
It was Clinton in 1992-95 that continued to push more and more banking restrictions when it came to the CRA. Eventually, banks had to make risky loans to meet their government obligations under the CRA.
Fannie & Freddie came into the game in 1992 and had to dedicate a certain percentage of their lending to support CRA. It hit $10 billion in CRA loans in 2001, with a goal of $500 billion by 2010.
I think we can guess, their not going to be reaching that milestone. This isn't a Republican lie.
Now with Obummer, we see massively ramped up spending with no tax revenue generation so debt is escalating and I suspect the dems will ramp up tax rates, as that has always been their solution. This will of course be labeled as "tax on the wealthy" so most will be blissfully unaware they are paying more taxes since most do not see the taxes come out of their paychecks. Most have never had to make that quarterly tax check to the IRS so they do not understand how much in taxes they pay!
How much of your liberty are you liberals willing to turn over to Obama? How much of your hard-earned money (for those of you that have jobs) are you willing to give to Obama? These are serious questions. I don't want to tell my children that I remember when people could think for themselves and didn't need the gov't to do it for them.
OK, let’s give him some time. When can we expect the 3.5 million new jobs he promised? Next yr, the yr after? We’ll talk about it in a year. By then you and the rest of the left will be crawling under your collective rocks begging for somebody else to fix the problems.
And in case you didn't know this next tidbit, I'll say it loud for you........OBAMA IS SPENDING MORE MONEY THAN ANY HUMAN BEING IN HISTORY.
The top tax and spend states are on the verge of bankruptcy at this point. With Obama's tax and spend ($1.8 Trillion deficit!) why would the country be anywhere different? We are going bankrupt and Obama has put the pedal to the metal.
Republican National Committee member James Bopp Jr. says President Obama wants "to restructure American society along socialist ideals.” He and others in the RNC have drafted a resolution to rename the Democratic Party the "Democrat Socialist Party."
"The proposed resolution ... calls upon the Democrats to be truthful and honest with the American people by renaming themselves the Democrat Socialist Party," said Bopp. He compared the branding to Reagan calling the Soviet Union an "evil empire."
Bopp believes RNC chair Michael Steele will set a special committee meeting in May on the matter. The GOP began calling Democrats "socialists" last election; recently Rep. Spencer Bachus (R.-Ala) said 17 socialists are serving in Congress.
Democrat Chairman Christopher Dodd said that he was responsible for the language that was added to the federal stimulus bill that would ensure that all previously existing contracts were honored, even ones that gave executives lucrative bonus pay.
Initially Dodd denied that he had anything to do with adding the language but later confessed that he reluctantly agreed to the changes only because he felt that if the changes weren't made the amendment would have been rejected completely.
Dodd said in an interview that the "grandfather clause" language seemed like innocent modifications, at the time. Lawmakers are now currently working on a way to seize the bonuses that were paid to AIG executives after receiving bailout money.
Once upon a time you had a liberal who stood high on his horse or was it a soap box. Now this chump of the freedom of speech had claimed that banning people for their difference of opinions and name-calling were a bad thing. He liked it that his blog was in his mind a place were the people could all come together.
Well that was before, now in the continuing saga of Zach’s blogging blue going down the toilet you have Zach banning people and his poodle “AL” name-calling. Zach you should pickup after your pets shit all over!
“Now i know, i know….I can Hear Bitter Fred or Real Big Randy saying

BTW, “AL” I am afraid to use my real name, watch the video of Obama in Iraq. Watch the crowd in how hand picked the military personnel were. Take note of the makeup of it!
“AL” do a search on military salutes in the show of respect and disrespect. Then watch the commanding officers salute Obama.
“AL” who uses a hand picked crowd of Obama supporters as evidence of troop support. ZACH forget pickup the shit after your pet because he just is! Such a clueless liberal! “AL” you do know Saddam had supporters who would tell him they loved him as well. Don’t worry about facts “AL” the right will point them out for you and Zach like the turds you write!
The Myth of 90 Percent: Only a Small Fraction of Guns in Mexico Come From U.S.
Ninety percent is a 'fact' quoted by the Obama administration as the amount of weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico that come from the U.S. — but, here's the only problem, the 'fact' is wrong.
Ninety percent is a 'fact' quoted by the Obama administration as the amount of weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico that come from the U.S. — but, here's the only problem, the 'fact' is wrong.
No, Obama is lying, I don’t believe it! How many lefty blogs were snookered into falsely believing Obama’s numbers that he just pulls out of his ass! Don’t worry about facts or fact checking. If someone from the left quotes a number it is right and no need to check it!
While talking to another blogger on RVW, it was brought to my attention that the pack of hyenas was falsely attacking one of our own here on the RVW.
March 11 2009, Nancy Pelosi using elite Air Force planes for personal use and gets angry if they aren't immediately available to her.
Another Sexist At WISN
Dan Cody takes Jay Weber to the woodshed for another bout of faux outrage. A key excerpt to give you a flavor:
Facts never get in the way of spreading straight up lies on the public AM airwaves though! Plus, it gives them a chance to express faux outrage about wasted tax dollars while getting to toss in childish comments like “Queen Nancy!” while calling her “witch” and “honey“. Clever, but your station already has one sexist talk show host Jay.
capper said... Dan, the issue isn't how one feels about Pelosi. The issue is how one expresses those feelings.
Weber's terms were clearly condescending and sexist. If you can not or will not pick up on that, says a lot about you.
So, the left is not happy with the adjective or descriptive noun. “Queen Nancy!” or “Princess Pelosi!” That has more to do with describing how she is acting. Like she is the Queen of Sheba. All that is, was because they could not face the issue at hand “Nancy Pelosi using elite Air Force planes for personal use and gets angry if they aren't immediately available to her.” Cannot debate the issues, so do a distraction!
Let us look at Mr. Capper’s tone of Sarah Palin. Notice the context and descriptive language: Palin Derails Straight Talk Express
So Capper is comparing Palin to a dog in both. He wants to make it slight and stay under the radar, but he also wants you to snooker about it. Dog, handler and Short leash. Sad, Capper, Sad!
In the end, “If he really wants to defend Pelosi's excessive travel at taxpayer expense, I'll let him....”
I withheld this for a day or two to see if local S. Milw resident and “I see racism everywhere” would condemn this. But Zachary Wisniewski of bloggingblue.com did not. Of course, I had to ask others to look for me! It seems the liberals have started to ban people based on IP’s. When I got to Zach’s site this is what I get:
”Uh oh....you must have done something naughty! If you're ready to behave, feel free to ask to come back.”
He wants me to email him and beg for forgiveness. So no longer Mr. Foust can your left side sit on the high horse of NO banning!
As it turns out Zach doesn’t have any real convictions and must be afraid of what I might comment on his site. He doesn’t even have the balls to point out real racism when it is in his own backyard.
Just proof that Zach doesn’t have a clue when it comes to racism. Must be from crying wolf about it so much! Zach is a fake!
Zach, here is real racism! Please learn the difference! Nice touch on the banning! Shows how scared you are running!
WASHINGTON — American support for the war in Afghanistan has ebbed to new a low, as attacks on U.S. troops and their allies have hit record levels and commanders are pleading for reinforcements, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows.
In the weekend poll, 42% of respondents said the United States made "a mistake" in sending military forces to Afghanistan, up from 30% in February. That's the highest mark since the poll first asked the question in November 2001, a month after the U.S.-led invasion ousted the Taliban government that sheltered al-Qaeda terrorists responsible for the 9/11 terror attacks.
In January 2002, only 6% of respondents called the war "a mistake." Those who said the war is going well dropped to 38% in the latest poll, the lowest percentage since that question was asked in September 2006.
President Obama is sending 17,000 more troops to Afghanistan, but he has ordered a thorough review of the strategy before deciding to send additional forces beyond that. Commanders requested 30,000 reinforcements.
Looks like Swastika Guy has had company throughout the Bush years. So is it only bad now because Obama is black or because he is liberal? No wait, because he is socialist?
Why are so many left blogs, still blogging about Bush? Isn’t that yesterday’s news now?
How many of the left blogs are praising Obama today? Not many because buyer’s remorse is settling in! Every time Obama opens his mouth the stock market and the net worth of America goes down!
I demand to know the timetable of troop withdraw from Afghanistan! When are our troops coming home? How many left blogs are posting that?
One of our very own favorite lefties would like to draw a parallelism between Sarah Palin having to pay taxes on 2008 per diems she received while staying at her Wasilla home as the same as President Obama’s Cabinet nominees failure to pay taxes.
Posted by: Zach W in From the Emailbox, National Politics, Those Kooky Conservatives!, tags: Sarah Palin Apparently, aren’t the only ones having problems paying their taxes:
The personal cost of the 2008 vice presidential campaign just rose for Sarah Palin, with state authorities ruling that she must pay back taxes on the
The Washington Post first reported the payments in December, and tax bloggers promptly raised questions about their tax implications.
Her aides won’t say how much she’s paying.
Curiously, I haven’t seen much on the conservative blogs about this. I’d expect them to be outraged, considering how big an issue they made of the tax problems of President Obama’s Cabinet nominees. After all, Gov. Palin was their Vice Presidential standard-bearer in the last election, so shouldn’t she be held to a high standard?
It would seem that most of Obama’s cabinet nominees have tax problems. How many it that now? I just keep losing count. Do they compare on the magnitude scale? NOPE!
Maybe it is just normal for liberals not to pay the high taxes they push for! Isn’t Palin middle class America? Then she must be required to pay.
1, 2, 3 Maybe Capper would like to tap out and hope someone like Zach or Grumps comes to his rescue. I know! Maybe all the righty blogs can post the same thing showing Capper falling for it. Yes, if we all do one about his embarrassing fumble.
Uh-Oh, Liberal Bloggers Get “Teabagged” Oh, this has got to be embarrassing.
Many bloggers (including “capper” and “The Chief” back home in Wisconsin) fell hook, line, and sinker for a story first posted on of all places Playboy Magazine online, which said the Rick Santelli ‘rant’ on CNBC was a fake and the entire “Tea Party movement” was staged by Americans for Tax Reform.
Zach over at blogging blue is a proud liberal. A “Tax and spend liberal” See he did a blog titled “Tax and spend liberal” and here it is in its finest print
“I’ve often heard the term “tax and spend liberals” used by many conservatives in reference to those of us on the left side of the political spectrum in order to denigrate liberals, and I think it’s time to come up with an equally suitable term to describe conservatives.
Here’s a few ideas:
“Borrow and spend conservatives” “Spend and mortgage the future conservatives” “Economically-challenged conservatives” Personally, I’m fond of #2.
And for what it’s worth, I don’t know a single soul who likes paying taxes, contrary to what many conservatives might want to believe. Do I like paying taxes? No. Do I pay my taxes? Yes, because I know my taxes go to provide services like fire and police protection, winter snow removal, good schools for my kids, and a whole host of other worthwhile services.”
How Zach has forgotten Joe Biden’s comments that it is patriotic to pay taxes and how if you are a big wheeling liberal, just don’t pay your taxes! While Zacky would like to make up names for conservatives, the label of “Tax and spend liberal” is real! Not some drummed up label. It is grounded in facts, not fiction.
Will Zach and his lefty buddies still show or talk about the deficit? What about the deficit count up counters?
All of the services that Zacky lists are services that need tax money, but commuter rail, money for Planned Parenthood abortions, clean needle exchange, money for ACORN, and all of the pork are not needed. Zach get a clue! That is what us Conservatives talk about when we say, “Tax and spend liberals” not necessary services. Of course, it is always cuts to those services that the left holds up and talks about, just not the pork like how much green house gas does a dairy cow produce. The distorted and disturbed mind of a Liberal.
Using Zach logic, liberal Tom Daschle, Timothy Geithner, John Murtha (FBI is raiding offices), Princess Pelosi, must not like services like fire and police protection, winter snow removal, good schools for my kids, and a whole host of other worthwhile services.
Zach is clueless to what the right means because as a “Tax and spend liberal” he is blind to high taxes. Zach since you like #2 Spend and mortgage the future is that really how you feel about Obama and is stimulus/porkulus bill? How much is HE and your liberal party adding on the backs of out children and grandchildren?
Zach, get with the times, your talking points are old, your people are in control and in charge. And charge they will on the taxpayers dime!
Zack and his liberal friends just don’t have a clue! Zach am I hearing it right, you want an elevator clause added to school taxes? Please enlighten us how you are not a “Tax and spend liberal”!
Oh no, the cartoon has accentuated Obama’s ears! Zach will be screaming racist!
I guess since PETA is a liberal group it was ok for them to don KKK garb outside Westminster Dog Show because I looked around the left blogs and NOT one has a problem with it.
Now if Jim Doyle and all of those tax and spend liberals would just freeze all government pay raises that would be a start. You cannot pick and choose as a few of the liberal bloggers including Zach want. If it is good enough for the private sector and school administrators (they are in the public sector), than it is good enough for all. Good for the goose, good for the gander.
I just wonder if you looked at the left bloggers, I would bet 95% of them work in the public sector with most never worked in the private sector.
Many of them don’t understand that public sector jobs do to make wealth or raise the GDP. Now that I think of it, most of those left bloggers are against Wal-Mart for not producing a product. Yet their jobs do not as well!
We have a few lefties in our blogosphere that like to compare and make note that the right uses Hitler and the KKK as words of weapons. Yet it is the left that can do it and go unchallenged or unexposed. It is ok for the left to do, because they say so!
Madonna has outraged Republicans by comparing John McCain to Hitler and Mugabe during a concert in Cardiff. Pictures of the presidential candidate were put on screen next to images of the two less than well regarded leaders during a song.
Democratic presumptive nominee Barack Obama received significantly kinder treatment with his image being put up next to pictures of Mahatma Gandhi and John Lennon.
"The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive... It clear shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attacks off limits," said McCain's spokesman Tucker Bounds.
In later comments, State Sen. Bob Jauch said more Democrats are needed in Madison to bring about needed reform.
Jauch was asked if the democratically controlled U.S. Legislature, Senate, and House had created any significant campaign reform after gaining control in 2006.
Jauch was unable to mention any federal reform.
He did direct some angry comments at WMC, which has placed issue ads against Jauch. He said the WMC acted like the Ku Klux Klan in bullying candidates.
‘Take the hoods off,’ Jauch said of the WMC.”
That is an obvious reference to the KKK that went unchallenged by the local reporter.
This article shows the bleakness that blogger Jerry K. has terrified us about and talked about. Wow, the ad was from 1964 and the great depression took place during the 1930’s. Sorry Zach and Grumps. Jerry was right in more than one way.
Please show me how this is not socialism or communism. Don’t cry with buyers remorse! Do something about it now. I am scared and so should you!
Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven't since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.
The nearby table shows the major bills that passed the House this year or last before being stopped by the Senate minority. Keep in mind that the most important power of the filibuster is to shape legislation, not merely to block it. The threat of 41 committed Senators can cause the House to modify its desires even before legislation comes to a vote. Without that restraining power, all of the following have very good chances of becoming law in 2009 or 2010.
- Medicare for all. When HillaryCare cratered in 1994, the Democrats concluded they had overreached, so they carved up the old agenda into smaller incremental steps, such as Schip for children. A strongly Democratic Congress is now likely to lay the final flagstones on the path to government-run health insurance from cradle to grave.
Mr. Obama wants to build a public insurance program, modeled after Medicare and open to everyone of any income. According to the Lewin Group, the gold standard of health policy analysis, the Obama plan would shift between 32 million and 52 million from private coverage to the huge new entitlement. Like Medicare or the Canadian system, this would never be repealed.
The commitments would start slow, so as not to cause immediate alarm. But as U.S. health-care spending flowed into the default government options, taxes would have to rise or services would be rationed, or both. Single payer is the inevitable next step, as Mr. Obama has already said is his ultimate ideal.
- The business climate. "We have some harsh decisions to make," Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned recently, speaking about retribution for the financial panic. Look for a replay of the Pecora hearings of the 1930s, with Henry Waxman, John Conyers and Ed Markey sponsoring ritual hangings to further their agenda to control more of the private economy. The financial industry will get an overhaul in any case, but telecom, biotech and drug makers, among many others, can expect to be investigated and face new, more onerous rules. See the "Issues and Legislation" tab on Mr. Waxman's Web site for a not-so-brief target list.
The danger is that Democrats could cause the economic downturn to last longer than it otherwise will by enacting regulatory overkill like Sarbanes-Oxley. Something more punitive is likely as well, for instance a windfall profits tax on oil, and maybe other industries.
- Union supremacy. One program certain to be given right of way is "card check.” Unions have been in decline for decades, now claiming only 7.4% of the private-sector work force, so Big Labor wants to trash the secret-ballot elections that have been in place since the 1930s. The "Employee Free Choice Act" would convert workplaces into union shops merely by gathering signatures from a majority of employees, which means organizers could strongarm those who opposed such a petition.
The bill also imposes a compulsory arbitration regime that results in an automatic two-year union "contract" after 130 days of failed negotiation. The point is to force businesses to recognize a union whether the workers support it or not. This would be the biggest pro-union shift in the balance of labor-management power since the Wagner Act of 1935.
- Taxes. Taxes will rise substantially, the only question being how high. Mr. Obama would raise the top income, dividend and capital-gains rates for "the rich," substantially increasing the cost of new investment in the U.S. More radically, he wants to lift or eliminate the cap on income subject to payroll taxes that fund Medicare and Social Security. This would convert what was meant to be a pension insurance program into an overt income redistribution program. It would also impose a probably unrepealable increase in marginal tax rates, and a permanent shift upward in the federal tax share of GDP.
- The green revolution. A tax-and-regulation scheme in the name of climate change is a top left-wing priority. Cap and trade would hand Congress trillions of dollars in new spending from the auction of carbon credits, which it would use to pick winners and losers in the energy business and across the economy. Huge chunks of GDP and millions of jobs would be at the mercy of Congress and a vast new global-warming bureaucracy. Without the GOP votes to help stage a filibuster, Senators from carbon-intensive states would have less ability to temper coastal liberals who answer to the green elites.
- Free speech and voting rights. A liberal supermajority would move quickly to impose procedural advantages that could cement Democratic rule for years to come. One early effort would be national, election-day voter registration. This is a long-time goal of Acorn and others on the "community organizer" left and would make it far easier to stack the voter rolls. The District of Columbia would also get votes in Congress -- Democratic, naturally.
Felons may also get the right to vote nationwide, while the Fairness Doctrine is likely to be reimposed either by Congress or the Obama FCC. A major goal of the supermajority left would be to shut down talk radio and other voices of political opposition.
- Special-interest potpourri. Look for the watering down of No Child Left Behind testing standards, as a favor to the National Education Association. The tort bar's ship would also come in, including limits on arbitration to settle disputes and watering down the 1995 law limiting strike suits. New causes of legal action would be sprinkled throughout most legislation. The anti-antiterror lobby would be rewarded with the end of Guantanamo and military commissions, which probably means trying terrorists in civilian courts. Google and MoveOn.org would get "net neutrality" rules, subjecting the Internet to intrusive regulation for the first time.
I DVR’s the debate so I will post after I watch it.
John, issues, issues, issues. You have issues. The left is crying about fair. Where is the rulebook on how many swipes the MSM “I am in the bag” for Obama gets to take at Palin?
If the right had sent 30 people dumpster diving and paying people to spread rumors… oh, wait...That was the left. If only Palin would have made herself available to the drive by media the left would not have had to resort to such tactics.
Give me a break! The left would like to know if Palin is pooping brown with a light shade because they think it should be brown with a dark shade. Hey I heard (notice the left has not problem with rumors now) that Sarah once ate. No, I cannot tell you. Well ok. She ate a moose burger. That should be plastered on every left rag newspaper and station.
You and the rest of your liberal friends are just afraid of her. The Left is Running Scared
Obama's fundraising team includes 38 members of law firms that were paid $138 million last year to lobby the federal government, records show. Those lawyers, including 10 former federal lobbyists, have pledged to raise at least $3.5 million for the Illinois senator's presidential race. Employees of their firms have given Obama's campaign $2.26 million.
To suggest Obama doesn't benefit from lobbyists is ridiculous. Smoke and mirrors.
The Bailout Skit NBC Pulled
H/T Real Debate
Wisconsin
Why did they pull it?Media said it was the statement “someone should get shot” but the truth I think is it makes the point that the Dems are at fault and people cannot be told that even in a humorous skit.
Fundamental question: Is economy really OK? Housing market in tatters, Wall Street in turmoil, but still plenty of strength http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26744322/
Senator Obama has not released his college transcripts from Occidental, Columbia nor Harvard Law. What courses did he take and what were his grades? He has not released his application to the Illinois State Bar, which is a very detailed document. He has released only a one page medical report. He has not explained the nature of his three-week trip to Pakistan after his Occidental coursework and before starting Columbia. What is he hiding in all these instances and why? Does he have any long-term close friends that will stand up for him and vouch for him? Any that are not convicted felons like Rezko, or unrepentant terrorists like Ayers? Who IS this guy???
Q) Why is Palin conducting state business on a Yahoo account?
A) She didn’t. The hacker himself said that he didn't find anything.
Q) Why did Palin say she would be open about the “TrooperGate” controversy, and now she is working hard to delay and shutdown the investigation?
A) The Troopergate investigation is a sham. It should have been investigated by the Personnel Board, and Alaska Democrats tried to bring it to the Legislature after her selection as VP nominee. The police commissioner was fired for insubordination and using State funds to lobby Washington for funds, Palin had already vetoed.
Q) Why did she lie about visiting Iraq, when she never did?
A) She did visit troops in Kuwait, about to be deployed to Iraq. She has also visited Alaska National Guard troops prior to their deployment to Iraq.
Q) Why does she say she opposes earmarks, yet with her leadership she has asked for nearly a half billion dollars in such earmarks?
A) She didn't request earmarks. She requested Congressional funding, to be voted on by the entire Congress, not just Reps or Senators from one state. Her funding requests are much less than her two predecessors as Governor, one of whom was a Democrat.
Q) Why did she never travel outside of the US and Mexico, until last year? Does she have any world interest?
A) Are the taxpayers of Alaska expected to fund their Governor's world travels, or is her job to serve the people of Alaska? She did travel to Canada, for negotiations on the gas pipeline, and to Kuwait, to visit troops, and she did telephone the President of Georgia after the Russian invasion.
Q) Does Palin have any control over the Alaska National Guard? If so, can she explain key achievements that she has had in managing the Guard the past 18 months?
A) Governor Palin has visited with the Alaska National Guard, both at their base, and those deployed to Kuwait. She also sent part of them to Louisiana to help with rescue efforts from Hurricane Gustav.
All the Palin-bashers on this board are afraid of her for one reason: she is far more competent than the TOP of the other ticket! Can anyone here name ONE accomplishment of Barack Obama, besides being elected?
Why is it only the liberals’ focus on race anymore as most everyone else has moved on? The party of Lincoln, Martin Luther King Sr. (yup, he was a registered Republican), and the first president to desegregate schools (nope, it wasn't JFK as the revisionist would like you to think) turned color blind long ago. As your favorite web site says ... Move On!
One of my goals this election time is to convert some undecided or just left souls to the right way of thinking. The Right!
The far left ones, well, there is no hope for them! The far left ones, well, there is no change for them! Just to put it in plain English, they are sheep, cattle, lambs, whatever you would like to call mindless followers. They don’t even understand or know they are stampeding because they were told to. They are the LOST cause!
This year, I have converted twenty souls from the dark and gloomy left side. It is easy! How you may ask? Well, just from the point of whom and what the left represents.
Just ask them to give you details of how, what, and when the left will do things. They cannot give a real answer besides, not the way things have been going. Change! But to and how? Give details! Tell me how! Tell me now! Give me solid answers that actually answer the questions. Just straight answers with no fluff or cream filling.
Watch what the left does; it is all just talk. BIG talk. TALL talk. WONDERFUL talk. SCRIPTED talk! ROUNDABOUT talk! But in the end it is just talk! EMPTY talk.
I tell people to think of biting into a Wisconsin State Fair Cream Puff and finding nothing inside! YES, I do think the left is a cream puff! An empty cream puff that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth and a stomach unsatisfied and growling. Growling or is it I am just a bitter man who is clinging? NO! Growling because the left is as empty as the rivers on Mars.
The people I tell that to just love it! After they stop laughing, I tell them the sad thing is it is true! The right is a solid wheat bagel, which is very healthy for you and tastes good.
So I say to you my fellow righties! How many cream puffs can you convert to wheat bagels? Don’t reach for the far left, as they are just full of emptiness and hot air! Go out there and do your job! Convert the undecided and the just left to the right way of thinking. Help educate the masses with the truth and real facts!
The following is a pass around email that I received the other day. Is it true? Who knows, that date has not arrived yet! But, with Biden's recent comments about not being the best pick for Obama, Obama's meetings with President Clinton and Obama's Sara Palin cry-sis, it really could be true. In fact, this is a talk that I had with a couple friends about a week ago.
So will this be Obama's first big mistake? Will Obama ask for a do-over on his VP pick? A Mulligan maybe? Is this the type of president he will be? Sorry about that bomb! I'll take my Mulligan now, OK??
How would you like to be Senator Biden? Sorry Joe, you need to go! You will have a medical problem and you will need to withdraw! So, are you going to resign as a Senator as well, Senator Biden?
If Biden quits, as Obama's VP pick then it will prove Obama's poor judgment and his do anything act to get votes.
So, here's the email. Judge for yourself and we will see what happens in October.
This is from Sarah, a personal friend, whose sister works for a senator.
Got this from my sister. S I got this 3rd hand at the water cooler, and, of course, have no way to substantiate something that must be DNC Top Secret/ Compartmentalized.
Let me share some info with you that I have gotten from excellent sources within the DNC:
On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.
There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the 'health problem' cited in those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.
However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.
So, let's start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about it on websites and blogs - etc etc
Saul Alinsky’s son: “Obama learned his lesson well”
ByJudi McLeodTuesday, September 2, 2008
In Artful Dodger style, Barack Obama, plays down his mentorship with Communist author Saul Alinsky. But Alinsky’s son, L. David Alinsky, credits Obama for “learning his lesson well” from the Communist guru.
Indeed, Alinsky Jr. who credits his late father for the success of last week’s Democratic National Convention, may have done something that Obama’s detractors couldn’t: blown the cover on the presidential hopeful’s communist leanings.
No one can blame Alinsky for the pretentiousness of the Ancient Greek Temple from which Obama addressed plebes, or for the tacky neon colours on display at the Pepsi Centre, but it was Alinsky who wrote Rules for Radicals, the bible of the far left.
Says Alinsky’s son L. David Alinsky of his father’s influence at the Dem Convention: “ALL the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.”
“The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style, the Communist guru’s son wrote in a letter published yesterday in the Boston Globe.
The Artful Dodger may be less than pleased that he has been pegged as a Saul Alinsky Poster Boy by the guru’s own son.
“Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness,” Alinsky Jr. wrote to the Globe. “It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.
“I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.”
Alinsky should be reminded that the West has stared down communism everywhere it has raised its hideous head.
influencing a Democratic convention from the grave pales in comparison to the results that followed President Ronald Reagan’s famous words, “Mr. Gorbachev, take down this wall.”
The commonsense and freedom-loving Gipper would have chuckled at the audacity of Obama’s Ancient Greek Temple stage setting and would have told Obama what he told the world: “All great change in America begins at the dinner table.”
Reagan also said: “I have seen the rise and fall of Nazi tyranny, the subsequent cold war and the nuclear nightmare that for 50 years haunted the dreams of children everywhere. During that time my generation defeated totalitarianism. As a result, your world is poised for better tomorrows. What will you do on your journey?”
“Alinsky considered himself a realist above all, the ultimate pragmatist.” (American Thinker, Aug. 30, 2008). “As a confirmed atheist, Alinsky believed that the here and now is all there is, and therefore had no qualms about assorted versions of morality in the pursuit of worldly power. He didn’t coddle his radical acolytes or encourage their bourgeois distinctions between good and evil when it came to transferring power from the Haves to the Have Nots. Alinsky saw the already formed church communities as being the perfect springboards for agitation and creating bonds for demanding goods and services.”
Obama followed the same path.
It is a fact that activist-cum senator Barack Hussein Obama started off his career as an activist with a position as a community organizer for the Developing Communities Project (DCP) of the Calumet Community Religious conference (CCRC) in Chicago. Both the CCRC and the DCP were built on the Alinsky model of community agitation, wherein paid organizers learned, in Alinsky’s own words, how to “rub raw the sores of discontent”.
Meanwhile L. David Alinsky, perhaps unwittingly put Obama into the proper perspective by stating without reservation: “Obama learned his lesson well.”

A wreath featuring elephant and donkey figures stoodin front of the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters in Little Rock, Ark., following the shooting of Democratic State Chairman Bill Gwatney on Aug. 13, 2008.
This was a senseless act of violence, not on the Democratic State Chairman, on a person, on a son, on a husband and on a father!A senseless act of violence that in a moment destroys a life and another contributing member of society is gone. This was a senseless act of violence that touches all of us.
Sounds like a good day to give Mom and Dad a call and give the kids an extra hug.
I find it rather hypocritical that those on the far Left are fine bashing the Catholic Church. I find it puzzling on some of the far Left blogs where people claim they are religious and how you cannot call Obama the messiah, yet they don’t defend the church on other issues.
I find it puzzling how those people don’t struggle with the moral implications of those on their side bash the church.
“Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people.” - Karl Marx
“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations”. - Barack Obama
“We need to take faith seriously not simply to block the religious right but to engage all persons of faith in the larger project of American renewal.” - Barack Obama; The Audacity of Hope; p. 216
To speak against Obama’s ideas is blasphemy. To question or point out anything he says, wrong or poke fun of, is racism. His middle name is off limits and cannot be uttered. The statements of his wife are forbidden to be analyzed. We may not discuss Obama’s mother, father, his 20 years in Jeremiah Wright’s church, his criminal and terrorist associates, his lack of patriotism, what he wrote in his books, what he said yesterday. Not even the Pope in Rome is afforded such insulation. But as Obama becomes the Vicar of Marx, I suppose looking at the histories of Communist and Socialist nations - blasphemy against the State and it’s Anointed is unwise.
God for bid you poke fun of his ears. That is why the New Yorker backfired and upset those on the Left. It encompassed many of those items and the far left didn’t feel comfortable poking fun of itself supposable from the eye’s of the right.
While Obama himself is clever enough not to ascribe the role of Savior to himself, he lets the worshipping hordes do that for him, and Obama does not dissuade such efforts, but feeds them with additional empowering words about hope and change.
Some on the Left will always find something to be offended by. It might be McCain making a joke about his wife, who is hot, that could win a beauty contest. Some on the Left again lie or stretch the truth. It is not a nude contest. Yes, some do in the heat of the moment take off their tops, but it is not a nude beauty contest.
Some of those on the Left dabble in Ageism. How nice! They make comments that McCain is too old. One even made it one of his top ten items. Those on the far Left are the first to cry about the war and killing, yet like killing unborn babies. They cry and whine that guns are the reason crime is high. They don’t defend their points with real hard evidence, but cherry pick items to try and prove their pointless point.
Liberals like to claim things need to be fair, yet they want things their way and don’t compromise or want fairness, they want their way.
Many Liberals see controversy and conspiracy everywhere and if you don’t see what they claim, you have a problem. For heavens sake! These are the ones that cry and whine, the most thinking if they do it loud and get their friends to join in, people will take them seriously. It only brings the extreme Left, which doesn’t represent the real American view, the rest will notice the truth. That is why the Democratic candidates tend to move to the center, away from these wacko people on the extreme Left. Most of the nation are center or to the right, not to the extreme Left.
These pundits on the extreme Left love the messiah Obama. Make sure, when you write about the messiah Obama to use a small “m”. These extreme Left are so blind to the attempt of Obama to move to the center from the extreme Left, because they don’t battle on the real issues, they just tell people to round up the wagons and charge.
