Politics in the classroom: I told you so

Teachers know they are not to engage in political activity during school time. They do it anyway.

It’s disgusting that taxpayer dollars are going to educators who spend class time, not teaching, but brainwashing.

I recently wrote about on my FranklinNOW blog and talked about a blatant Beloit case filling in for Mark Belling on WISN. Not surprisingly, more evidence has about teachers crossing the line has surfaced.

The teacher’s union in Virginia encouraged pro-Obama antics.

Why just talk politics? Why not wear your feelings right out in the open? New York teachers are attempting to wear Obama buttons in class.

As I mentioned on WISN, this is going on in public schools in every state, now right through Election Day. These teachers should be ashamed of themselves, but they’re doing it because they know they can get away with it.

What's even more disgusting is teachers who engage in politics in their classrooms and use the "N" word in the process:

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Florida_teacher_uses_N_word_against_1003.html

I'd say equally disgusting since we don't know what the pro-BO teachers are calling McCain-Palin.

Why can't you say nigger? My black friends and co-workers do. Young black men don't seem to give 2 shits about it.

John how did it make you feel when the Rev Jackson said the N word?

Steve T: defender of racism!

Zach in your eyes all of us on the right are racist!

Toke up dude and let us hope the DMV doesn’t check for drugs. Did you not listen to Nancy Reagan’s say “No” to drugs ad campaigns?

Wait Steve...are you trying to imply I'm a drug user?

I mean, that'd be downright libelous!

Oh I see and saying others are racist is not! WOW!

Apples and oranges, Steve. You've defended the use of the "N" word, as if that's somehow become a perfectly good word to use in reference to African-Americans. If you feel so strongly that using that word is perfectly okay, take a trip down to 35th and State in Milwaukee and just start using that word....see what kind of reaction you get.

I'm willing to bet you'd find that using the "N" word isn't as perfectly acceptable as you'd like to think, but then again, maybe it is up in Ixonia.

Oh, and Steve, I've got a question. Were those links you posted meant to defend the use of the "N" word, or did you post them with another point in mind?

Oh, Zach. You so funny. Steve T with a point? C'mon.

No Zach, they are to show that many people use the word including predominant black leaders and Democratcs. If you took the time to read them you would find out that saying the N word is not acceptable, but talking about it is. I don’t use the word, but many people do. Why is it ok for those black folks to use it? If it is ok for that group what about other slurs for other groups? Where does it stop?

How about Negro, like in United Negro College Fund? Is that ok?

How this blog digressed from pro-Obama teachers in the classroom to using the "N" word is amazing.

Anyhow, in regards to teachers promoting Obama to their students. The only way to stop this practice is if the few conservative teachers (yes, there actually are some - me being one of them!) were to start wearing McCain/Palin buttons to school. That would put an end to any political activity taking place within school walls right away. Conservatives can't do that!!! That would be wrong!

Just like voter fraud - we'd have Voter ID enacted so fast if only Republicans would start to cheat like Democrats do. That wouldn't be allowed! That would be wrong!

The only solution to many of these election problems can be summed up as such: If Republicans behave like Democrats, the outrage that would follow would surely level the playing field.

It might be worth it!

Yes, Amy, this is a blog about teachers talking politics in the classroom, but in Zach's never-ending quest to smear, he has tried to divert attention away by playing the race card.

Over on his blog, ol' Drippy Zippy insinuates that I'm a racist by referring to this blog and the comments that follow. He says I wrote my blog the same day he blogged about the incident involving the "N" word, as if my blog was timed to be reactionary.

What he doesn't tell you is that I blogged about this on September 24 on FranklinNOW, a full week before he did. I also talked about it on WISN the same day as my September 24th blog.

He tags his blog with my name as well as the term, "racism," suggesting that I am racist.

I resent this despicable act but I'm not surprised at anything this hateful individual does. He purposely tried to lead his readers to believe I'm racist by misleading them. Boy, there's real class.

In my original blog and on WISN, I made it clear discussing politics in the classroom is always wrong, no matter the bias. It's abundantly clear, however, and Drippy won't admit it, that it's happening to a far greater extent with liberal teachers.

Because Drippy can't argue the facts, he has to resort to sleazy underhanded tactics and race baiting. What a warm, compassionate soul he is.

He owes everyone he called a racist here an apology because no one was defending the use of the "N" word. You'll never get that, however, out of a classless individual.

He also should stick to the topic as Amy pointed out, and defend the politicking by liberal teachers in the classroom in support of Obama. But he won't do that, either, because there is no defense.

It's amazing how conservatives don't flood the hateful lefty blogs, but the hateful lefties (again, the warm, tolerant bunch) have all the time to come over here and peddle their trash.

I'm glad this site is here to call them out whenever they try to pull their disgusting crap, as Drippy did here and on his sorry excuse for a blog.

Keep up the good work, everybody at Right View Wisconsin!

Kevin Fischer, master name caller!

Truly the mark of a mature 51 year-old.

Oh and Kevin?

You should read my blog entry again. Nowhere in that entry did I refer to you as a racist; I simply noted that you wrote this entry, and that I responded to it with the link to the teacher in Florida. That's when the defense of the use of the "N" word started, and that was the point of my entry.

Then again, perhaps the fact that you got so defensive should tell us something about your feelings on race.

Interesting point, Kevin, in regards to lefties swarming all over conservative blog sites, while conservatives (like myself) don't bother with liberal blog sites. Why? Personally, I feel it is we get enough leftie garbage via the mainstream media and Hollywood day after day. Some conservatives probably have no desire to subject themselves to that stuff by actively seeking it out on blog sites. I really wonder why the left flocks to sites like this, as well as another site I blog on (livinglakecountry.com). Most of the comments I get on anything I write come from liberals who cannot stand my point of view on things, or the facts I use to support my beliefs. In blogging, I have found that many conservatives shy away from commenting, because they don't want to have to deal with the venom that the liberals will come back at them with. I have even asked family, friends and associates who have told me they really like my blogs why they never comment? The overall common response was they don't want to have to see the usual answers from the hate-driven liberals out there. They felt I did a good enough job on my own sticking up for the conservative ideology. Funny, maybe the election in November will show there are more silent people out there who support McCain and are not telling others how they will vote till Nov. 4th (i.e. not sharing their information with pollsters). Maybe the silent majority will help McCain win the White House. It's not over till it's over! Although, ACORN is at it again - this time in Nevada! http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2100277/posts

You all have it so wrong. Nigger has nothing to do with race. It's not a color it's an attitude.

Oh, Buck. Please, do tell us more. Your hypothesis sounds fascinating.

Which word don't you understand? Apparently color is more important to you then how a person runs there life.

Runs where? Runs there? Where?

Sorry teach, I was taught at a public school.
