Most everyone is eagerly anticipating the Vice-Presidential debate set to take place on October 2nd. Sarah Palin and Joe Biden will be able to express their views and ideas in an impartial setting. They will be able to answer fair questions in an impartial setting... OH WAIT Did I say "fair"? and "impartial"? That isn't going to happen. Guess who is moderating?
Gwen Ifill. Gwen Ifill - who has a pro-Obama book ("The Age of Obama") coming out in January of 2009. Gwen Ifill, who supports Barack Obama. Now, don't you just think that Gwen has a real vested interest in who wins the presidency? If Obama were to lose, Ifill's book would be history - no one would want to buy it. However, if Obama wins - she's got a best seller on her hands. How can she possibly be impartial?
Imagine if Sean Hannity (well-known conservative writer and TV personality) were going to moderate the VP debates. Do you think that would be allowed? Don't you think Camp Obama would explode with outrage - and liberals and Democrats would be crying foul and demanding that Hannity step down? In this case, John McCain, Sarah Palin, and the Republicans have every right to be angry. Although, it will be a difficult task to find an unbiased member of today's mainstream media to oversee the debate and fill in for Ifill....it may be impossible... On second thought, maybe Ifill won't be too bad. Couldn't be any worse than Jim Lehrer...
Sarah Palin has a real challenge on her hands. Hopefully, she will be up to the task. Biden should feel pretty good, though. He's got the moderator on his side and the debate hasn't even started.

There's one good reason Gwen Ifill, the host of the PBS show Washington Week, is moderating the vice-presidential debate: she has a forthcoming book about Barack Obama (and other black Democrats) called The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. Ifill talks about the book project on YouTube

Only ABC Highlights Debate Moderator Gwen Ifill's Obama Book
By Scott Whitlock (Bio | Archive)
October 1, 2008 - 18:23 ET
Of the three morning shows on Wednesday, only "Good Morning America" highlighted the growing controversy regarding the disclosure that PBS reporter Gwen Ifill, the moderator of Thursday's vice presidential debate, has authored a supportive book about Barack Obama and other African American politicians. CBS's "Early Show" and NBC's "Today" both skipped the subject.
GMA news anchor Chris Cuomo mentioned the subject during the 7am hour and actually observed that the book "has some conservatives claiming she will be biased tomorrow night." The ABC journalist added, "Ifill has said, though, she's only concerned about getting straight answers from the candidates." And although Cuomo did not repeat the story during the 8am news briefs, at least ABC brought the subject up.
Ifill's book, "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" will also feature the Democratic governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, and the Democratic mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Corey Booker

Imagine if a VP candidate had only given three interviews since they were named, and one of them was with Sean Hannity! Do you think that would be allowed? Don't you think the other side would explode with outrage, crying foul and demanding that more interviews should be given?

Want to talk about media bias?
Barack Obama now has his own channel on Dish Network running his ads as well as other biological propaganda.

Now an advertisement is "media bias"?

John: Your comments are so weak. The media is clearly in Obama's corner - the proof is there. You just cannot admit it. Would you like to see Sean Hannity host a debate between Obama and McCain? I doubt it. The liberal world would be screaming about how unfair that would be!
Yet, Republicans are just supposed to sit back and allow a known Obama-backer, someone who really has a monetary interest in how the presidential race turns out, to host the VP debates. The hypocrisy is stunning, but expected.

This channel is an advertisement. The MSM, or even a satellite video provider, takes money from almost anyone. Your point is?
As for Gwen Ifill, why does McCain himself not question her objectivity and qualifications? He said "I think that Gwen Ifill is a professional and I think she will do a totally objective job, because she is a highly respected professional. Does this help that if she has written a book that’s favorable to Sen. Obama? Probably not. But I have confidence that Gwen Ifill will do a professional job."

If it was just a "paid ad" then the channel would say "paid ad" and not Obama, like all the other "paid ads".
He bought the channel for a month.
What is better than Obama all the time 24/7. The All Obama network just as it should be.
Or is it that he is just an "infomercial" now and is trying to buy the white house. Act now and he will throw in …

John do you believe in raw data or cooked data?
Should the sampling of a poll be the same as the current demographics?
Are on-line polls fair and accurate?
