Sorry Joe, You Need to Go!
The following is a pass around email that I received the other day. Is it true? Who knows, that date has not arrived yet! But, with Biden's recent comments about not being the best pick for Obama, Obama's meetings with President Clinton and Obama's Sara Palin cry-sis, it really could be true. In fact, this is a talk that I had with a couple friends about a week ago.
So will this be Obama's first big mistake? Will Obama ask for a do-over on his VP pick? A Mulligan maybe? Is this the type of president he will be? Sorry about that bomb! I'll take my Mulligan now, OK??
How would you like to be Senator Biden? Sorry Joe, you need to go! You will have a medical problem and you will need to withdraw! So, are you going to resign as a Senator as well, Senator Biden?
If Biden quits, as Obama's VP pick then it will prove Obama's poor judgment and his do anything act to get votes.
So, here's the email. Judge for yourself and we will see what happens in October.
This is from Sarah, a personal friend, whose sister works for a senator.
Got this from my sister. S
I got this 3rd hand at the water cooler, and, of course, have no way
to substantiate something that must be DNC Top Secret/
Compartmentalized.
Let me share some info with you that I have gotten from excellent
sources within the DNC:
On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket,
citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is
timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.
There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this
info. generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get
it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is
possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the
'health problem' cited in those articles was aneurysm. Probably
many of you have heard the same rumblings.
However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it
looks like this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems
that the best strategy is to get out in front of this Obama
maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the
grand manipulation that it is.
So, let's start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the
pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about
it on websites and blogs - etc etc

I don't believe it. It's not going to happen.

Anon, I hope you are right. I hope Obama could be a better leader than that.
Posted by: JeffN | Friday, September 19, 2008 at 02:02 PM
No. Obama is not a good leader and he doesn't even have the potential of being a good leader. He's just not going to dump Biden. He can't. The only way the Dems could have won is if they had nominated Hillary Clinton and as we all know that ship has sailed.
Posted by: Anon | Friday, September 19, 2008 at 02:19 PM
Sorry, Anon, I did not mean to imply that he could be a good leader (of this country) in any way. The sad reality is that if we conservatives do not stand up and spread the word as to who this man really is, he could be our next president! He has studied and made an art of exploiting people. I know that a bunch of people out there are saying Oh My GOD (sorry for using the word “GOD” liberals, but you were thinking it anyway) how can he say that a black man is exploiting people! A black man cannot exploit people as he has been repressed all his life!
It has nothing to do with color. Barack Obama started off his career as an activist with a position as a community organizer for the Developing Communities Project (DCP) of the Calumet Community Religious conference (CCRC) in Chicago. Both the CCRC and the DCP (ACORN subsidiaries) were built on the Alinsky model of community agitation, wherein paid organizers learned, in Alinsky’s own words, "The despair is there; now it's up to us to go in and rub raw the sores of discontent, galvanize them for radical social change”.
The piper blew his horn and now they follow, but to a place that only the piper knows.

Yeah, third-hand emails are often a reliable source of information; ask Randy Hollenbeck and Kevin Fischer about that.

Zack, your link states as I did, that it’s an email rumor! No I don’t and you don’t know if it is true, but it is worth looking at and thinking about. If it were to occur, how would you feel about Obama then?
Posted by: JeffN | Friday, September 19, 2008 at 07:00 PM
If Obama taps Hillary now, you have to question his first judgment. If he was wrong about Biden, what else is he wrong about?
Posted by: Steve T. | Friday, September 19, 2008 at 07:44 PM
So should we question John McCain's judgment after he flip-flopped this week on deregulation of banks and commerce?
Posted by: Zach W. | Friday, September 19, 2008 at 08:30 PM
See with Obama his change is a flip-flop and if you wait until the next day, something else will flip since Obama is a flop. Oh, wait changed his mind. Where Obama has Change you can just substitute flip-flop. When Obama does something you will flip, flip-out, since he is just all talk.

Zack, I do not believe that a president, senator, mayor or any political official should be required to maintain a concrete stance on any social/economical issue. That’s why we have people who run the country and represent the ideas and needs of the citizens. We need leadership that is willing to make hard decisions, decisions that come from their BRAINS not from pulling a lipstick covered foot from his mouth just to replace it with an index finger to see which way the political winds are blowing today.

Okay, Jeff. Let's say I agree with you that it's worth considering, "just what if?"
What if it turns out that John McCain was born on Tralfamador and was sent here to marry a beer heiress and force th entire country to drink rice-brewed horse swill? What would you think of him then?
What if John McCain suddenly turns bright blue and grows a tongue like a giraffe? Would a blue President be able to serve? What shade would you tolerate?
What if it turns out that everything you've read in an email is true? Where will you spend the thousands of dollars Bil gates will send you for forwarding crappy emails?
Posted by: grumps | Monday, September 22, 2008 at 02:03 PM
So Jeff, are you trying to assert that when John McCain changes his position on an issue he's "showing leadership," yet when Obama does it he's doing it because of political opportunism?
I'd love for you to clarify.

Grumps, if it turns out, as you stated, “that John McCain was born on Tralfamador and was sent here to marry a beer heiress and force the entire country to drink rice-brewed horse swill.”
Then, according to the United States Constitution, it would not make sense to vote for him, as he would not be a native-born U.S. citizen, unless he was born on Tralfamador and both of his parents were citizens of the U.S., then he would meet the citizenship requirement to be president. (Pssst . . McCains not from St Louis so were already good on that second part!)
Next Grumps questioned, “What if John McCain suddenly turns bright blue and grows a tongue like a giraffe? Would a blue President be able to serve? What shade would you tolerate?
I don’t have a problem with the color of a candidate for president, be it blue or brown. What exactly does one’s color or personal appearance have to do with their qualifications to lead this country? No Grumps, it would not matter to me! Then, does color matter to you?
Finally Grumps asks, “What if it turns out that everything you've read in an email is true? Where will you spend the thousands of dollars Bill gates will send you for forwarding crappy emails?”
Sorry . . :-). . :-) . . , did you really believe that Bill Gates would send you all that money??? When I wrote this post, I clearly stated that it was a pass around email and there was no proof either way – yet. But it was worth thinking about. I am CERTAIN that Bill Gates will not be sending you that money. Are you just as confident that Obama will keep Biden as his V.P. pick?
Posted by: JeffN | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 01:08 AM
Yes, it sounds like Grumps has a problem with color. Hmm… which side is truly racist? More and more of it points to the left. Scream and cry about it, but do it. That is what the definition of hypocrisy means.
So if Obama was blue and not brown, Grumps would have a problem! WOW..
Posted by: Steve T. | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 07:35 AM
Wow, you guys are nutty! It must be that conservative sense of humor I keep hearing about.
Posted by: grumps | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 09:03 AM
Grumps, no it was your words that were nutty.
Posted by: Steve T. | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 10:30 AM
No problem Zack, I can explain. You wrote on your blog, “McCain’s rhetoric last week simply doesn’t mesh with his twenty-plus year record as a staunch supporter of deregulation”. Do you think there is anything that has changed in the last “20+” years that might warrant a change in his position? Hint: financial crisis. As I stated before, we need person, a brain, a living, and breathing being in Washington to make decisions. If we were to vote on a concrete idea that could not be changed for the next four years, what would happen as social and economic environments change? Catastrophe!
If Obama were to replace Joe Biden with Hillary Clinton, would that be in response to some type of social or economic change in our nation?
The difference is one makes a change to benefit the country the other makes a change to benefit himself.

If McCain didn't learn anything from his involvement in the Savings and Loan Bailout Scandal what makes you think he'd learn anything from this one?
He's still taking advice from Phil Gramm and Rick Davis. He's the Same old, Same-Old Candidate.
Posted by: grumps | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 12:15 PM
Grumps, explain it for us! This looks and smells like another shared mind blog. What is your sources and don’t give a blog. Sounds like the battle cry the left gave you to say. Do you need a teleprompter and script?
Posted by: Jerry K. | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 05:40 PM
Jerry, how do we know John McCain's still taking advice from Rick Davis? Because Rick Davis is McCain's campaign manager.
As far as McCain learning something from the current economic downturn, I'll just McCain's sudden change of heart on deregulation reeks of political opportunism. He saw the tide was turning against the deregulation he's fought for for over 20 years, and so he simply changed his position. It was a heck of a flip-flop.
Posted by: Zach W. | Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 05:57 PM
Well, changing to the economic conditions, don’t think about that Zach! Campaign manager guilt by what Zach?
McCain's campaign manager Terry Nelson would you like to tell us more of him?
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe, called Hillary a lunatic and that is why you will lose.
A big part of Mr Obama's success, though, is due to the Democratic operators he lured from elsewhere. His campaign manager, David Plouffe (sixth), a former aide to Dick Gephardt, is disciplined and parsimonious, overseeing the amassing of the biggest political piggybank ever seen and orchestrating Obama victories in small, organisation-intensive caucus states.
Mr Plouffe's chief organisers are Steve Hildebrand and Paul Tewes, who ran Al Gore's successful Iowa caucus bid in 2000. Mr Tewes will soon move to the Democratic National Committee to head its presidential campaign effort—and consolidate Mr Obama's control of the party. Tom Daschle, a former Senate majority leader, could help Mr Obama's team put pressure on Congress without alienating its members, a problem that can dog first-term presidents.
The ambition of Mr Obama's team is exciting, but in office it could be dangerous. In 1993 the clever Clintons tripped up very quickly. What if Congress doesn't care for the finely-tuned policies of Mr Obama's top-notch economists? Or if Mr Obama finds he can't pull out of Iraq as planned? Or if Americans tire of his charisma and he stops being able to attract adoring crowds tens of thousands strong? The lynchpin of his campaign has been a faith, almost messianic, in his personal excellence. If that fades, then the whole operation could collapse in frustration and disillusionment.

You and Capper taught us how it is done! I do think Jeff did a percent of it on one of your blogs.

I personally don’t think the email will turn out to be true, but as Jeff stated since it didn’t happen yet it cannot just be dismissed as false. The probability is low or next too nothing, but at this time it could happen.
With hearing Bill Clinton’s comments on the View and other places, I don’t think Hillary would go for it. I do think the Clintons will do whatever it takes to make it as hard as possible for Obama to win so Hillary could match up against Palin in 2012 if we are all still around. 2012 is a Convergence Point for many doom and gloom endings.

Zack questioned, "Jerry, how do we know John McCain's still taking advice from Rick Davis? Because Rick Davis is McCain's campaign manager."
Actually Zack, Davis still has the title of campaign manager for the McCain's 2008 presidential election campaign. However, a reorganization placed Steve Schmidt in charge on July 2, 2008.
