I find it rather hypocritical that those on the far Left are fine bashing the Catholic Church. I find it puzzling on some of the far Left blogs where people claim they are religious and how you cannot call Obama the messiah, yet they don’t defend the church on other issues.
I find it puzzling how those people don’t struggle with the moral implications of those on their side bash the church.
“Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people.” - Karl Marx
“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations”. - Barack Obama
“We need to take faith seriously not simply to block the religious right but to engage all persons of faith in the larger project of American renewal.” - Barack Obama; The Audacity of Hope; p. 216
To speak against Obama’s ideas is blasphemy. To question or point out anything he says, wrong or poke fun of, is racism. His middle name is off limits and cannot be uttered. The statements of his wife are forbidden to be analyzed. We may not discuss Obama’s mother, father, his 20 years in Jeremiah Wright’s church, his criminal and terrorist associates, his lack of patriotism, what he wrote in his books, what he said yesterday. Not even the Pope in Rome is afforded such insulation. But as Obama becomes the Vicar of Marx, I suppose looking at the histories of Communist and Socialist nations - blasphemy against the State and it’s Anointed is unwise.
God for bid you poke fun of his ears. That is why the New Yorker backfired and upset those on the Left. It encompassed many of those items and the far left didn’t feel comfortable poking fun of itself supposable from the eye’s of the right.
While Obama himself is clever enough not to ascribe the role of Savior to himself, he lets the worshipping hordes do that for him, and Obama does not dissuade such efforts, but feeds them with additional empowering words about hope and change.
Some on the Left will always find something to be offended by. It might be McCain making a joke about his wife, who is hot, that could win a beauty contest. Some on the Left again lie or stretch the truth. It is not a nude contest. Yes, some do in the heat of the moment take off their tops, but it is not a nude beauty contest.
Some of those on the Left dabble in Ageism. How nice! They make comments that McCain is too old. One even made it one of his top ten items. Those on the far Left are the first to cry about the war and killing, yet like killing unborn babies. They cry and whine that guns are the reason crime is high. They don’t defend their points with real hard evidence, but cherry pick items to try and prove their pointless point.
Liberals like to claim things need to be fair, yet they want things their way and don’t compromise or want fairness, they want their way.
Many Liberals see controversy and conspiracy everywhere and if you don’t see what they claim, you have a problem. For heavens sake! These are the ones that cry and whine, the most thinking if they do it loud and get their friends to join in, people will take them seriously. It only brings the extreme Left, which doesn’t represent the real American view, the rest will notice the truth. That is why the Democratic candidates tend to move to the center, away from these wacko people on the extreme Left. Most of the nation are center or to the right, not to the extreme Left.
These pundits on the extreme Left love the messiah Obama. Make sure, when you write about the messiah Obama to use a small “m”. These extreme Left are so blind to the attempt of Obama to move to the center from the extreme Left, because they don’t battle on the real issues, they just tell people to round up the wagons and charge.

So Steve, you don't think there's anything the slightest bit wrong with McCain offering to have his wife compete in a pageant that features women getting topless and sometimes bottomless? Call me crazy, but that hardly seems presidential.
Posted by: Zach W. | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 11:11 AM
It was a joke Zach! But that must be something you don’t understand. You must be one of those who see everything as a controversy and conspiracy everywhere all the time. While politics is a serious matter, lighten up Zach. Do you think Obama when he walks the machine shops and tells the workers he would love to do their jobs he means it?
Zach you have quite a bit to learn. I think it is the failure of the school system that you are a product of the left. You seem bright, but misguided. A little lost sheep.
Posted by: Steve T | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 11:22 AM
Aw Steve, thanks for the insult! It's good to know that when all else fails, folks on the right sure know how to throw around insults.
Posted by: Zach W. | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 11:52 AM
Just following your past practice and lead Zach.
Zach in your warped mind you actually see that McCain’s wife Cindy stripped in the event, instead of the reality that McCain made a joke. And your defense is it is not presidential. It is not as if he got his bio-matter on an interns dress. That is your definition of presidential material right? Hypocrisy.
Posted by: Steve T | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 12:02 PM
No, I did not think about Cindy naked.
Posted by: John Foust | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Just wait. Before long, they'll call you racist, or insinuate it...
Posted by: Billiam | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 12:52 PM
Steve, trust me, Cindy McCain isn't someone I'd want to picture naked, so stop projecting your fantasies onto me.
Posted by: Zach W. | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 02:03 PM
Not my fantasy, just what is hidden deep in your mind. Pushed back from all of your programming and endocrining from the school system of liberals. At some point, we are hoping you will wake up and smarten up to find out the liberals have it all wrong. Maybe after you start paying for all the social programs that the left thinks if you throw enough money at it like the school system, will fix it. It will not fix it and most of the time more money doesn’t. We all hold out hope for you.
Zach do you not hear yourself. You have Cindy McCain guilty of stripping and that never happen. Seek help of your delusions and not being able to differancate between fact and fiction. I know the harshness of reality is hard to comprehend, but when you live without sleep, you are stuck in a dream and not the reality.
Zach one more thing, having a false idol god of Bill Clinton or Obama is false idolatry. You as a big church going not to sling mud type, should not be worshiping false idols. When you sling mud as you commonly do Zach, what do you think people think of you?
Posted by: Steve T | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 02:45 PM
You don’t have to wait for Zack to call you or insinuate that you are a racist. He has already prejudiced this about all of us on his own blog. Here is what Zack had to say:
“Egads!
As if their individual blogging efforts weren't bad enough, Randy Hollenbeck and Kevin Fischer have joined forces with Jay Weber, Orville Seymer, Chris Kliesmet, Jim Hayett, Amy Hemmer, Scott J. and Wayne U. in a new blog, "The Right View Wisconsin." Presumably, this new blog will allow the above-mentioned individuals to more effectively share conservative talking points and to allow for easier groupthink, and I can't wait to see what kind of racist, Nazi-sympathizing content the folks over there come up with.”
Wow, RACIST, NAZI-SYMPATHIZING content! - - - That’s Zack for ya!
Zack, what’s with your obsession with the Sturgis Beauty contest? Lets be real now, before you read or heard about this situation, you probably didn’t know about the topless part of the contest, just like the majority of Americans. That is, if you had even heard of the contest at all.. Maybe, it’s just me. . . maybe we run with different crowds. . . obviously we share different values, but I sure didn’t know they had a beauty pageant that could become so revealing.
Here is what Sen. John McCain actually said:
"I was looking at the Sturgis schedule, and noticed that you had a beauty pageant, so I encouraged Cindy to compete," McCain told an audience at the rally. "I told her [that] with a little luck, she could be the only woman to serve as both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."
So I went to the Sturgis web site and took a look at their schedule. Nothing about nudity! Look for your self, here’s the link. http://www.sturgis.com/calendar/scheduletest.php
Zack, in the words of Albert Einstein - Any fool can know. The point is to understand.

Here's some video of the 2007 contest. No nudity due to editing. The banana show is towards the end.

Hey Jeff?
My post over at Whallah! had nothing to do with prejudice; it had to do with established fact. If you want racist and Nazi-sympathizing content, look no further than Kevin Fischer and Randy Hollenbeck. After all, how can we forget the racist blog entry by Randy, one so objectionable NOW removed it, and how can we forget Kevin Fischer and his Nazi sympathizing?
Here's a few links for ya...

Zack you stated that, “My post over at Whallah! had nothing to do with prejudice; it had to do with established fact. If you want racist and Nazi-sympathizing content . . .”
When you speak of, by name, all of the authors (except me) on this site and state “this new blog will allow the above-mentioned individuals to more effectively share conservative talking points and to allow for easier groupthink, and I can't wait to see what kind of racist, Nazi-sympathizing content the folks over there come up with.”, that is indeed Prejudice!
prej·u·dice from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/prejudiced
An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
Now for the big one - the Nazi sympathizing SMEAR!
Zack Zack Zack there you go again and again and again labeling people and proving that you havn’t a clue.
You wrote, “How can we forget Kevin Fischer and his Nazi sympathizing?” To call Mr. Fisher’s comments as Nazi-sympathizing . . WOW!!! Lets go back to the dictionary Zack!
Here we go again Zack - From http://www.thefreedictionary.com/sympathized
sympathize or -thise
Verb
[-thizing, -thized] or -thising, -thised sympathize with
a. to feel or express sympathy for: I sympathized with this fear
b. to agree with or support: Pitt sympathized with these objectives
sympathizer
-thiser n
I went to your link and I read what was there. Don’t you get it? What you wrote implies that Mr. Fisher made a negative comparison of the DNR to Nazi party. It refers to the DNR’s actions as "Gestapo-like" that is quite the opposite of sympathizing! LOOK at the definition. “To feel or express sympathy for - to agree with or support”. Sympathizing? SYMPATHIZING!
My guess is that when you use the term Nazi-sympathizing to describe Mr. Fisher, it is part of your continued effort to try to smear his reputation or you simply don’t understand what you are writing. I don’t know why you and the rest of the “super-friends of the left” have such a personal vendetta against him!

Zach, Zach, Zach.
First if the pictures were so disturbing why did you and your offended friends repost them? Because you knew, they were not racist in the first place. You just want and need something to complain and whine and cry about.
Second on your whallah site, I see the link called political humor http://politicalhumor.about.com/ and guess what it takes you to. Drum roll please….
Funny Barack Obama Pictures http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/barackobama/ig/Barack-Obama-Pictures/
Those same racist pictures. Hypocrisy
Zach did you notice the heading they have them on Funny Barack Obama Pictures.
Another Zach comment debunked. Better watch it Zach, calling someone a racist who isn’t could land a liable lawsuit on your doorstep.
See the lies Zach and his left buddies do!
Are you going to cry and quick run to your blog and blog about it again?
Posted by: Steve T | Saturday, August 09, 2008 at 11:31 PM
On Zach’s blog he said, “For instance, the same folks who hold themselves up as supporting the Republican Party, the party of so-called “family values” seem to have no problem with Republican presidential nominee John McCain offering up his wife to compete in a semi-nude “beauty” pageant. And the same folks who make a point to tout their religious beliefs - as if liberals are somehow godless”…
BTW Zach was very clever in his blog title “The Hypocrisy of the Right” since he was talking about this post titled “Hypocrisy”. Showing us what a mastermind Zach is.
First, did McCain really offer up his wife as you state or is the reality that Jeff N pointed out was, "I was looking at the Sturgis schedule, and noticed that you had a beauty pageant, so I encouraged Cindy to compete," McCain told an audience at the rally. "I told her [that] with a little luck, she could be the only woman to serve as both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."
You say offer as if McCain went up to the people running the pageant and offered her. Or maybe Zach really meant McCain was given or selling her. Everyone see the warped mind of Zach. He sees what he wants to. Does that mean you support slavery? Again, “Republican presidential nominee John McCain offering up his wife to compete in a semi-nude”, as if Cindy didn’t have a voice or a say. Now and sexist to the list Zach supports. Now I don’t think Zach supports slavery and he might be sexist, but we just don’t know. I am willing to think Zach was over zealous in his wanting to over stretch the truth and used the wrong words. We wouldn’t want to give the idea that Zach is a sexist person and run a smear post. I know he would not do the same for others. That is a key difference between liberals and conservatives.
Second, if God is on my side, who is on yours? Ever hear of that?
Still have not answered the question of do you like to kill babies? Do you tell your kids you are okay with baby killing? I am sure you will say that is not fair to ask. Since when do you play fair?

Way to go over the top, Steve! Very persuasive. At least to those still wearing tin foil on their heads.
Posted by: capper | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 07:58 AM
Capper, those women who put tinfoil on their heads while getting a hair coloring sounds sexists to me. Tisk, tisk. (If this was a Liberal blog someone would write a blog on Capper not knowing tinfoil is a noun that is spelled together, quick someone post a blog about it, Zach would)
Posted by: Steve T | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 08:16 AM
You meant to say "sexist", right? God is on your side? Which God? Which side?

John F, my dad told me if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. Your posts have liberal all over them. You may be able to fool others with this libertarian and conservative parody, but the truth comes out in your comments posts and to whom you sit with. Yours is to the left and way over to the left.
Posted by: Sherri | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 04:10 PM
Wow! It only took three days for this mess to slide off the rails. If this is what passes for modern conservative thought you guys are really hurting.
Just for one quick moment imagine Eleanor Roosevelt at Sturgis.
John McCain doesn't have what it takes to be President. He's running for Frat-Boy-In-Chief and we've had about all of that that the country can stand.
If John McCain didn't know that Miss Buffalo Chip was all about the ta-ta's then he's too dumb to be President. He doesn't know much about the economy. He doesn't know much about technology. He doesn't even know much about tire pressure.
Posted by: grumps | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 04:23 PM
I am starting to wonder about John F’s mind Steve. Did you notice he answered one of your questions to Zach as if he was Zach? “No, I did not think about Cindy naked.”
I think his mind must be boggled as well.
Posted by: Sherri | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 05:47 PM
No, I was answering as me.
Posted by: John Foust | Monday, August 11, 2008 at 05:52 PM
Sherri, no I didn’t catch that. They don’t call them the Looney Left for nothing.
Another creative blog title from Zach over at blogging blue.
“Is Bush the Messiah?!?”
Notice he used the capitalized “M” for Messiah instead of the small letter m of talking about Obama. Zach is just playing the “I’m rubber your glue” from elementary school.
Zach is one smart fellow.
Didn’t he just blog about using God’s name like that as blasphemy. Yes, yes he did. The Blasphemy of the Right
See rules only apply to the right and Zach makes them up as he sees fit or which ones are ok.
Zach must be an elitist. Figures, fits right in with Obama.
Debunking another one of Zach’s lies. He talks about the right catchy titles, while he rips them off. Oh, yeah it is a parody like his buddy John.
They cannot think inside the box or outside of a box, they just get lost in the box.

Hell, Steve is bucking for editor.
Um, Stevie, where did you get any reference to women from in my comment? Was it just the voices in your head again?
Oh, and tin foil can be spelled either way, but who wants to confuse you with the facts when your mind is already made up?
